Overview
Landlord HQ ("the App") is developed and operated by Ross Milner ("I", "me", or "my"). This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your information. I am committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about my practices.
Short version: All your data stays in your own iCloud account. I never see it, collect it, or have access to it.
Data Storage
All data you create in Landlord HQ — including property details, inspection records, room ratings, notes, photos, and compliance documents — is stored exclusively in your personal iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit private database.
This means:
- Your data is stored in your own iCloud, not on any server I own or control.
- I have no access to your data at any time.
- Your data is protected by Apple's security and encryption.
- Your data is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy in addition to this one.
Data I Do Not Collect
I do not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:
- Personal identification information (name, email, address)
- Location data
- Photos or inspection content
- Usage analytics or behavioural data
- Crash reports or diagnostics (beyond what Apple may collect separately)
- Any data from third-party advertising or tracking networks
The App does not contain any third-party SDKs, analytics tools, or advertising frameworks.
Camera and Photo Library
The App requests access to your device's camera and photo library solely so you can attach photos to room inspections. This access is used only when you actively choose to add a photo. Photos you capture or select are stored only within your own iCloud data via CloudKit and are never transmitted anywhere else.
PDF Reports and Email
The App can generate PDF inspection reports and open your device's built-in mail app to send them. All PDF generation happens entirely on your device. I do not receive copies of any reports you send, nor do I have access to your email contacts or messages.
In-App Purchase
Landlord HQ offers an optional one-time Pro upgrade via Apple's App Store. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. I do not receive or store any payment card details or financial information.
Children's Privacy
Landlord HQ is intended for adults (landlords and property managers). The App is not directed at children under the age of 13, and I do not knowingly collect any information from children.
Changes to This Policy
If I make material changes to this Privacy Policy, I will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
